To mark the Olympic Flame Lighting Ceremony for the 2024 Summer Olympics (PARIS 2024), which will take place in Ancient Olympia on April 16, and the Olympic Flame Handover Ceremony, which will take place at the Panathenaic Stadium on April 21, Hellenic Post is releasing two Numbered Commemorative Envelopes with stamp and Special Commemorative Postmark, and Individual Personalized Stamps “Olympic Flame 2024”

Two Special Commemorative Postmarks will also be released and will be used for cancellations on Tuesday, April 16, from 10:00 to 14:00 at the Post Office of Ancient Olympia, 2 Pierre de Coubertin, Ancient Olympia, 27065, ILIA, for the lighting, and on Sunday, April 21, from 10:00 to 14:00 at the Post Office of Syntagma Square, Mitropoleos 2, 105 63 Athens for the handover.

The Special Commemorative Postmarks will be available for 3 consecutive Thursdays from their release date, at the Syntagma Post Office, Mitropoleos 2, 105 63 Athens, from 09:00 to 13:00.

Alternatively, you can send your postal items free of charge to the Philatelic Service (100 Eolou St., 2^nd floor, 10188 Athens), within 60 days from the release date (the post office stamping indicates the date of posting).

Philatelic items to be postmarked must bear the name and full address of the sender so that they can be sent to them. Please mark the envelope “PHILATELIC ITEMS”.  

At the end of the year, Hellenic Post will release a set of envelopes stamped with commemorative postmarks especially for commemorative postmark collectors. Each envelope will have the minimum value of B’ priority domestic mail (20 gr), today 1,20 €, stamp affixed to it and will be stamped with one of the special commemorative postmarks for 2024.
