A N N O U N C E M E N T

 

1. On 23rd September 2021, the 6th Commemorative Set of Stamps, entitled “GREECE 1821-2021, PHILHELLENES”, will be released. The set will consist of five (5) one euro (€1.00) stamps, with a total value of five euros (€5.00).

 

The set will be available in the following categories and quantities:

The stamps in this Commemorative Set will measure 35 x 45 mm and will be printed in sheets of 25, with the five stamps in the set joined together, so that each sheet comprises four (4) full sets.

 

2. Related products:

2.1 First Day Cover in a limited edition of 5000 with the stamps in the set affixed to it. It will be priced at eight euros (€8.00), including 24% VAT (€6.45 + €1.55). In parts of Greece with a reduced rate of VAT, the price will be seven euros and fifty-five cents (€7.55) including 17% VAT (€6.45 + €1.10).

 

2.2 Numbered Album in a limited edition of 1.000. The album will be priced at nineteen euros (€19.00), including 24% VAT (€15.32 + €3.68). In parts of Greece with a reduced rate of VAT, the price of the album will be seventeen euros and ninety-two cents (€17.92) including 17% VAT (€15.32 + €2.60).

 

3. The stamps and the first day cover will be available from the date of their release until 22nd September 2022, unless previously sold out. The numbered album will be available as long as stocks last.

4. Collectors will be able to have their philatelic items franked with the special commemorative first day of issue postmark at Athens Central Post Office, 100 Aiolou St, 105 64 Athens, on Thursday 23rd September 2021, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., provided stamps from the set or any other stamps with a minimum value of €0.90 are affixed to them. Alternatively, collectors can send postal items free of charge to the Philatelic Service (100 Aiolou St, second floor, 101 88 Athens), provided stamps with a minimum value of €0.90 are affixed to them. Please mark the envelope “PHILATELIC ITEMS”.

5. Permanent subscribers to stamps from the Philatelic Service will be sent their orders directly by the Philatelic Service provided that funds in the appropriate amount are in their account 15 days before the date of issue of the set.
