EUROPA 2021 - ENDANGERED WILDLIFE

A N N O U N C E M E N T

 

1. On 6th May 2021, the 3rd Commemorative Set of Stamps entitled “EUROPA 2021” (ENDANGERED WILDLIFE) will be released. The set will consist of two (2) stamps (€2.00 and €4.50), with a total value of six euros and fifty cents (€6.50).

The set will be available in the following categories and quantities:

Of the above quantities, 94,000 will be double stamps (the two stamps joined together) in sheets of 16 stamps, i.e. 8 full sets in each sheet. The remaining 100,000 €2.00 stamps and 100,000 €4.50 stamps will be printed separately in sheets of 8.

2. Related products:

2.1 Illustrated First Day Cover in a limited edition of 3500 with the stamps in the set (fully perforated) affixed to it. It will be priced at nine euros (€9.00), including 24% VAT (€7.26 + €1.74). In parts of Greece with a reduced rate of VAT, the price will be eight euros and forty-nine cents (€8.49) including 17% VAT (€7.26 + €1.23).

2.2 Numbered Booklet (in a limited edition of 5000) containing two double stamps (i.e. two each of the joined €2.00 and €4.50 stamps) perforated in one dimension and cut in the other. The booklet will be priced at thirteen euros (€13.00).

2.3 Numbered Album in a limited edition of 500. It will be priced at twenty euros (€20.00), including 24% VAT (€16.13 + €3.87). In parts of Greece with a reduced rate of VAT, the price will be eighteen euros and eighty-seven cents (€18.87) including 17% VAT (€16.13 + €2.74).

3. Stamps, First Day Covers and Numbered Booklets will be sold from the date of their release until 5th May 2022, unless previously sold out. All philatelic products will be available from the Post Collection shop – Central Philatelic Office (5 Lykourgou St & Apellou, 100 38 Athens), from post offices and from the Hellenic Post online store.

4. Collectors wishing to have philatelic items stamped with the special commemorative first day of issue postmark can send them free of charge to the Philatelic Service (100 Aiolou St, second floor, 101 88 Athens), provided stamps with a minimum value of €0.90 are affixed to them. Please mark the envelope “PHILATELIC ITEMS”.

5. Subscribers to stamps will have their orders sent directly by the Philatelic Service provided that funds in the appropriate amount are in their account 15 days before the date of issue of the set.
